Great Commission Higher Secondary School is a wonderful place to work. My colleagues are smart, kind, and supportive. The school is well organized and efficient. But what keeps me coming back are the wonderful kids I get to teach and learn from every day. They are in the right hands.

A Chat with memory

Last night, I met with memory, sitting on a lonely Bench,
Looking both grieved and happy all at once,
Images and scenes, High school memories-came flashing by

I drifted off to another world,
As i remembered- rushing off to school
Missing socks and ties, singing in the assembly,
Last minute home works and the last bell ringing

Ah! Those were the days, when we shot paper bullets,
Flew paper airplanes, sang loudly in corridors,
Played pranks, shared lunch boxes-
When we went to school to play

When teachers shook their heads at our shenanigans
As we rejoice during their absence, All worries and concern absent
But all the while, Looking anxiously at the door,
For any signs of interruptions

Hidden test papers, late project works,
Dreaded result days, Forged applications,
The burning effects on our flogged bottoms,
And the yelling produced All Come flashing by in my mind

Laughing and crying as i chatted, with my high school memory,
I noticed something- what I value now,
Aren’t my grades, No, what I Value now,
Are only memories made
